History

We are a non-profit association with the sole purpose being the upkeep and care of the last resting place of your loved ones. • Over 150 years experience and over 340,000 burials. • The first burial took place in 1841 at St. Mary's in Dorchester. • Memorial Day Masses are held each year at Mt. Benedict and New Calvary Cemeteries, all are welcome to attend. St. Mary's is the original Cemetery of the Boston Catholic Cemetery Association. Incorporated in 1851 as the "Catholic Cemetery Association in Dorchester." The name was changed in 1877 to the "Boston Catholic Cemetery Association."
